Biography
The former world number three is back with Ipswich for a third season in 2025, having returned to British Speedway with the Witches in 2023 where he helped the club win the Knockout Cup. His last season in the UK before that was back in 2011 with the Coventry Bees. The Russian, who has Polish citizenship and races on a Polish licence, started his professional career in his homeland where he won the Russian league championship and became the U-21 champion amongst other honours. In 2006 he joined Polonia Bydgoszcz where he stayed for many years. His performances earnt him a wild card for the Grand Prix series in 2009 and he excelled, finishing third in his debut campaign. He has two more bronze medals to his name and became a regular fixture in the series up until 2021. Sayfutdinov has led Russia to three Speedway of Nations titles and has won a multitude of team and individual honours. He also represents Torun in the Polish Ekstraliga.
