Biography
Louis is a sportsman that will forever be etched in the history of the town. He started his career at Hackney in 1988 before moving to his hometown club in 1989, where he would stay for the rest of his career. He became World Under-21 champion in 1990 and would be part of the most successful Ipswich side of all time in 1998, winning the treble. Louis was also a regular in the Speedway Grand Prix series with fifth place his best finish in 1998 having previously finished third in the old World Final format in 1993. Since hanging up his kevlars in 2008, Louis has been promoter at the club and in 2023 he oversaw the club lift the Premiership Knockout Cup.
