Biography

Ritchie made the transition from rider to team manager in 2016 after suffering from injury in the previous season whilst riding for the Witches. He started his career in the sport in 2000 with the Sheffield Prowlers and had prolonged spells at Swindon and Somerset in his career. Ritchie became British Under 21 champion in 2004. He first rode for Ipswich in 2010 and would return in 2013 until he finished his career, a spell during which he became club captain. Since becoming team manager Ritchie has led the club to consecutive Championship play-off appearances in 2016 and 2017 and reached the Knockout Cup final in 2017.
