Ipswich Tru7 Group Witches racer Tobiasz Musielak has been handed a permanent wild card for the 2026 Polish Championship series.
Musielak received the opportunity after falling marginally short of qualification at the Polish Championship Challenge in Świętochłowice on Friday, missing out in a run-off for the final place with double SGP2 world champion Mateusz Cierniak after both riders tied on nine points.
After originally expecting just a reserve spot for the three-round series, Musielak was delighted to join a field featuring six-time Speedway GP world champion Bartosz Zmarzlik, reigning Polish and European champion Patryk Dudek, 2025 FIM SGP Challenge winner Dominik Kubera and new Speedway GP World Championship leader Kacper Woryna.
Posting on Facebook, Musielak wrote: “I am pleased to announce that I have received a permanent wild card for the 2026 Polish Championship series. Thank you for the chance to fight for the title of the best speedster in Poland!”
Also in the line-up are Polish Under-21 champion Wiktor Przyjemski, Challenge qualifiers Krzysztof Buczkowski, Maciej Janowski, Piotr Pawlicki, Radoslaw Kowalski, Szymon Wozniak, Jakub Jamrog and Cierniak. Wild cards Przemyslaw Pawlicki and Jakub Miskowiak complete the field.
After launching at Speedway GP venue Torun on May 16, the championship moves to Bydgoszcz on July 4, before concluding in Ostrow on August 15.
