Ipswich Tru7 Group Witches skipper Danny King has been honoured for a sublime season after being voted as the club’s Rider of the Year for 2026.
In a vote held by the Ipswich Speedway Supporters Club, King took the top prize, receiving the honour at Witches’ End-of-Season Dinner Dance at Venue 16 on Friday evening.
It was a night of honours for King, who was also named as Witches’ Most Improved Rider after his best campaign for several years after shaking off the effects of a long-standing hand injury with surgery last winter.
He also shared the Junior Witch Rider of the Season prize with Tobiasz Musielak and split the Bonus Point Shield with Scott Nicholls and Tom Brennan. Musielak was also honoured with the Most Entertaining Rider award as he departs after a superb season at Foxhall.
The event also saw former promoter and Witches great Chris Louis handed the ISSC’s Lifetime Achievement award alongside wife Julie for their immense contribution to the club over decades, both on and off the track.
We congratulate all of this year’s winners and thank all of our 2026 Tru Group Witches for their efforts throughout the season.
