The visitors are led by Josh Auty who suffered an injury disrupted 2015 and he is joined by Alex Davies and Ryan Douglas, who were both with the Scorpions in 2015. Zdenek Holub starts 2016 with the Scorpions having impressed as a late signing last campaign and Nicolai Klindt was a big winter signing for the club albeit on a temporary basis. At reserve they have a trump card in Carl Wilkinson, an experienced Premier League rider and he is joined by Josh Bailey.

The Witches have been drawn in a League Cup group with Peterborough, Scunthorpe and Sheffield. Each side will race each other home and away with the side finishing top racing another group winner in a semi-final over two legs.
