2026 IPSWICH TRU7 GROUP WITCHES FIXTURES RELEASED

Posted on

6 March, 2026

Rowe Motor Oil Premiership champions Ipswich Tru7 Group Witches launch their season against near neighbours King’s Lynn as the much-awaited 2026 fixture is revealed.

Witches’ preparations for the 2026 season hit full throttle when Mayfield, parent company of the FIM Speedway World Championships, was unveiled as the club’s new owners, with co-promoters Richard Coleman and Andrew Chisholm leading the Suffolk side into an exciting new era, alongside team manager Paul Hurry.

Last year’s Rowe Motor Oil Premiership title-winning heroes Tom Brennan, Danny King and Jason Edwards join forces with record seven-time British champion and local legend Scott Nicholls, 2019 Ipswich star Richard Lawson, Polish racer Tobiasz Musielak and Swedish sensation Philip Hellstrom-Bangs, who makes his British racing debut in 2026.

This year’s Rowe Motor Oil Premiership sees the six clubs face off at home and away twice, with the top four advancing to the play-off semi-finals. Ipswich has been pitted against local rivals King’s Lynn and league debutants Northampton in the Premiership Knockout Cup southern section, facing both clubs home and away in a mini-league. The top club in the group advances to the final, where they meet the winner of the northern section, which features Belle Vue, Sheffield and holders Leicester.

The Witches open their campaign against King’s Lynn in a Premiership Knockout Cup showdown at Foxhall on Thursday, April 9, before the East Anglian clubs meet at the Adrian Flux Arena on Monday, April 13.

Ipswich then launch their Rowe Motor Oil Premiership title defence with a trip to Manchester’s National Speedway Stadium to tackle Belle Vue on Monday, April 20.

Witches make history at Northampton International Shaleway on April 30, when they provide Britain’s newest speedway club’s first home opposition in the Knockout Cup – just a week after the teams meet at Foxhall on April 23.

Their first home Rowe Motor Oil Premiership contest then sees them tackle King’s Lynn on Monday, May 4 – with the May Day Bank Holiday action getting underway at 2.15pm.

New Ipswich co-promoter Coleman cannot wait to see the Witches in Rowe Motor Oil Premiership action after completing Mayfield’s purchase of the club last week.

He said: “After months of uncertainty for the supporters, it is a pleasure to be able to publish the Premiership fixture list and give the fans some clarity as they plan their summer.

“I hear our clashes with King’s Lynn are always fiercely contested and we look forward to our opening night at Foxhall on April 9. We are delighted to welcome Northampton into a six-team league. We look forward to our first visit to Brafield for their opening night on April 30, and of course, their maiden trip to Foxhall a week earlier on April 23.

“We will have more news about season tickets very soon and we thank all of our supporters once again for their patience over what has been a long winter. We can’t wait to see them at trackside in April.”
