‘Tru Plant’ Witches skipper Danny King has revealed that an immediate return to racing is unlikely following severe nerve damage to his left arm.
King was caught by teammate Michael Härtel back in May in a Knockout Cup clash at Foxhall against Lakeside and had his arm ridden over by the German. The skipper had a month on the sidelines before returning to action but it was clear to see the 2016 British champion was still struggling to race.
The 31-year-old has been seeing various specialists all over the country and whilst the medium to long term prognosis is very positive it is difficult to put a timescale on when he will return to action.
King will continue to work with Ipswich whilst he recovers and hopes to be back to full fitness and ready to race again soon. Naturally, the captain is disappointed at how his season has gone but is determined to get back on the bike as soon as possible and would like to thank everyone for their unwavering support.
